Mountain Brook Resident Survey: Results Favorable Toward City
The results of the 2019 Muntain Brook Resident Survey showed that most of the people living in Mountain Brook are pleased with the city.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The results from 2019's Resident Survey in Mountain Brook have been tallied, and a vast majority of the city's residents appear to be pleased with the city and its services.
Mountain Brook City Manager Sam Gaston said the 7-page survey was sent to 2,000 households in the city and asked about city services, public safety and communications.

- 98 percent rated Mountain Brook as an excellent or good place to live and raise children
- 98 percent are satisfied with the overall quality of life in Mountain Brook
- Mountain Brook rated significantly higher than the U.S. average in 57 of 58 areas that were compared
- Satisfaction with Overall Quality of City Services rated 46 percent above the U.S. average
- Satisfaction with Customer Service from City Employees rated 50 percent above the U.S. average
- 100 percent rated Mountain Brook as Safe or Very Safe overall
- Decreases in satisfaction from the 2017 survey were seen in the city's recycling program, fees for youth recreation and enforcement of local traffic laws
The survey was conducted by ETC Institute, a statistical firm located in Kansas that has completed similar studies in Vestavia Hills and Auburn.
