  1. A scammer has been calling up Mountain Brook residents, pretending to be a police officers and demanding payments, the Mountain Brook Police Department reports. When in doubt, the best way to reach the police is at 205-802-2414 or 911 for emergencies. (Twitter)
  2. A new book, "Worthy of Remembrance," by Cathy Criss Adams, tells the history of the Redmont Community on the top of Red Mountain. It was actually developed from 1911-1935 by the same businessman Robert Jemison Jr. who developed Mountain Brook. (Over the Mountain Journal)
  3. Trendon Watford, a former Mountain Brook High School basketball player and now in the NBA playing for the Portland Trailblazers, is having a great summer season so far.
