Multi-Sport Star Clay Stearns Will Play College Baseball
Mountain Brook baseball and football standout Clay Stearns has chosen to accept a baseball scholarship.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Mountain Brook football and baseball standout Clay Stearns will continue to display his athletic prowess in college next year, and has chosen to stick with baseball. Stearns announced via social media he will play baseball at Snead State Community College in Boaz, Alabama.
The 6-1, 245 pound senior was an Alabama High School Athletic Association All-State selection in football, and was listed on a roster of 40 young men across the state to play in the 31st annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic football game this past season.
As a catcher and infielder for the Spartans baseball team, Stearns has been a member of the varsity squad for four years.
