New Dog Park Opens In Mountain Brook

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Dog owners have a new spot to take their four-legged friends in Mountain Brook this month. September marked the opening month of the Cahaba Dog Park off Overton Road.

The new park measures a half-acre and sits inside the walking trail at Cahaba River Walk Park on Overton Road. This was a project led by Leadership Mountain Brook. Students Weesa Keller, Will Krueger, Alice Monk and Charles Nicrosi first discussed the proposed dog park with the city council in March.

The students raised half of the $10,000 cost of the park.
