BIRMINGHAM, AL — A peaceful protest against police brutality originally scheduled to take place at The Park at Overton in Mountain Brook Thursday will now be held at Crestline Elementary. The event is organized by Alabama Rally Against Injustice. The group also held a protest in Homewood Tuesday.

The protest in Homewood Park Tuesday did not result in any arrests or property damage. Mountain Brook police said they are aware of the protest and will be monitoring all developments and are coordinating with neighboring police departments for additional support.

The change in venue was reportedly because of lack of parking and the size of the crowd anticipated at the event. The rally is scheduled for 4 p.m.
