MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - In what may be the least surprising sports announcement of the week, Mountain Brook forward Trendon Watford was named to the first team 7A All-State Basketball Team by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. Watford led Mountain Brook to a third straight Class 7A boys title, finishing with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the championship game victory over Baker.

Watford has yet to announce where he will play basketball in college, but is not without suitors. He announced earlier in the year that he had narrowed his choices down to either Indiana, Memphis, Alabama or LSU. However, a late push by Duke toward the end of the season may have caught his eye as well.
