Trendon Watford Named Gatorade Player Of The Year Again
The MBHS star has been selected as the 2018-19 Gatorade Alabama Boys Basketball Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Being named the best basketball player in the state is quite an honor. Being given that distinction two years in a row is nothing short of spectacular. Just ask Trendon Watford. The Mountain Brook hoops star was named the 2018-19 Gatorade Alabama Boys Basketball Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Watford, a five-star player who has not made an announcement on where he will play next season, is the second straight two-time winner of the award. Mae Jemison's John Petty, now playing at Alabama, won the award in 2016 and 2017.
