Lane Closures Scheduled For U.S. 280 In Shelby County Wednesday
The Alabama Department of Transportation announced lane closures along US 280 in Shelby County Wednesday.
SHELBY COUNTY, AL - The Alabama Department of Transportation announced that lane closures will take place on a section of U.S. 280 in Shelby County on Wednesday, February 7. ALDOT said the pavement coring will take place on U.S. 280 from Cahaba River Bridge (Milepost 5.80) to Hugh Daniel Drive (Milepost 8.85).
Lane closures will take place as follows:
- Between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., one and two-lane segments of US-280 eastbound and westbound will be closed
- At least one travel-lane will remain open during the duration of the work
- All travel lanes will reopen by 1 a.m.
Motorists are asked to observe work zone speed limits in this area. Motorists should also consider using alternate routes
