Man Charged With Selling Products Laced With Cannabidiol
Authorities said he is the owner of The CBD Store, a chain of stores that reportedly sells edibles, creams, lotions and other hemp products.

SHELBY COUNTY, AL - The Shelby COunty Drug Enforcement Task Force has arrested and charged a Hoover man after executing a search and seizure warrant at 4673 Hwy 280 East, Suite 9 in North Shelby County. The location of the warrant is a storefront operating under the name the CBD Store.
The store owner, 38-year-old Harry Marion Autry of Hoover, was arrested at the scene and charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Autry's store is part of a chain that sells edibles, creams, lotions, pills, water-soluble hemp oil and pet products.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences confirmed that products submitted for testing by SCDETF investigators contained illegal controlled substances. As investigators seized the inventory within the store, multiple field tests were conducted on site, all of which returned positive test results for the presence of controlled substances, namely cannabidiol.

Autry remains in the Shelby County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
