Pelham Announces Christmas Tree Lighting Plan

PELHAM, AL - The city of Pelham announced it will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting event Nov. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pelham Civic Complex. The event will take place in the newly-renovated main arena at the complex, and will feature music from the Pelham High School Jazz Band and members of the Beautification Board will pass out Christmas ornaments to the first 1,000 guests.

In addition from Christmas music from students at each of Pelham's schools, guests will also get to see students from the Pelham Skate School and the Birmingham Figure Skating Club performing on the ice rink. Both of the facility’s ice rinks will feature free ice skating from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Players from the Birmingham Bulls and Alabama’s Frozen Tide will be there to skate with guests.

Santa Claus will be available for the city’s youngest residents from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and 7:30-8:45 p.m. The Pelham High School Culinary Arts Program will provide hot cocoa and cookies in the ballroom with Christmas music provided by Blaze Entertainment.

Admission to the event is free.
