Pelham Police Department National Night Out Set For Oct. 2

Free food and other giveaways will be available at the Pelham Police Department's National Night Out event Oct. 2.

PELHAM, AL - Police departments all over the country are participating in National Night Out, a program developed to bring together members of the community and their police departments and first responders. The Pelham Police Department will host its National Night Out event Tuesday, Oct. 2.

The event will take place at the Publix Supermarket parking lot in the Pelham Towne Center at 365 Huntley Parkway from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include first responder and public safety demonstrations, free food and many giveaways.

The Pelham Police Department said it hopes the event strengthens police-community partnerships, heightens crime and drug prevention awareness and generates support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts.(For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Patch morning newsletter.)
