Pelham Woman Stole Close To $12,000 From Law Office

A Pelham woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing close to $12,000 from a Hoover law office.

PELHAM, AL - A Pelham woman has been arrested on multiple fraud charges, including allegedly stealing close to $12,000 from a local law firm. Stefany Evelin Rodriguez, 24, was arrested Oct. 24 and charged with felony counts of first-degree theft of property, third-degree theft of property and identity theft.

Rodriguez is accused of stealing an Alabaster woman’s identity on Sept. 14 and taking $1,560 from the victim, according to a story from Pelham Reporter. She also allegedly stole $11,747 from the Chasteen law firm in Hoover between October 2016 and July of this year. Rodriguez is being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $30,000
