Shelby County Sheriff's Office Looking For Sex Offender
A man registered as a sex offender used a fraudulent address in Shelby County, and the SCSO is now searching for him.
SHELBY COUNTY, AL - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is actively trying to locate and arrest Rick John Vega on a current arrest warrant. Vega is a registered sex offender who reported to law enforcement that he had recently moved to Shelby County and was living in the 5000 Block of Spring Creek Road in Montevallo.
A check of the address revealed that Vega was not living at the address. Vega is 44 years old and is described as a white-male, brown hair, brown eyes, 5’9” tall and weighing 175 lbs. There is currently a warrant for his arrest for violation of the Alabama Sex Offender Registration Notification Act.
