ā¢ Blazers hope to get passing game in gear against Navy Friday Night (abc3340.com) ā When UAB hosts Navy Friday night in Birmingham, the Phenix City Little League World Series team will be special guests, walking out of the tunnel with the Blazers. While UAB looks to jumpāstart its struggling passing game against one of the conference's weakest pass defenses, local families get a chance to see hometown players recognized on a big stage.

ā¢ Georgia man killed in Russell County crash (nowgeorgia.com) ā State troopers are investigating a deadly singleāvehicle crash in rural Russell County, about 25 miles south of Phenix City, that killed a 36āyearāold Georgia man Monday afternoon. Investigators say his Corvette left Cottonton Road, hit a ditch, overturned, and he was ejected while not wearing a seat belt before being pronounced dead at the scene.
