2 Northport Residents Killed, 2 Injured In Crash At Wildwood Trace & University Blvd.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department has not yet identified two people killed in a Thursday morning two-vehicle wreck.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says two people were killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle crash at Wildwood Trace and University Boulevard East at approximately 3:03 a.m. Thursday morning.

TPD said two people were pronounced dead at the scene, Two people died at the scene and two others are being treated for injuries. The crash, which was reported by passing motorist, involved a pickup truck and a car.

In an update Thursday afternoon, the Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed that the Nissan Sentra was driven by a 33-year-old Tuscaloosa man who was transported to DCH then UAB for treatment.

A Chevrolet S10 occupied by three victims was also involved.

The two people killed have not been identified by name, but TPD said they are a 40-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, both residents of Northport.

Additionally, a 35-year-old woman from Tuscaloosa County remains in critical condition at DCH as of Thursday afternoon following the wreck.

TPD said University Boulevard East between Bama Salvage and Bee Branch Road was closed from 3 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
