3 Injured In Fayette Bus Wreck Involving Murray State Softball Team
State Troopers say three passengers were injured when a charter bus carrying the team was involved in a collision with a commercial vehicle.
FAYETTE, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said on Thursday that three people were injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa after a bus wreck involving the Murray State softball team.

The team was making its way to Tuscaloosa for the NCAA Softball Regional this week. However, around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday evening, ALEA responded to a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 13 in Fayette County involving the team bus and a commercial vehicle.

ALEA said a total of 26 passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash, with three of the bus passengers transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.
The cause of the the crash remains under investigation.
