- The Northport City Council will have its regular meeting on Monday. Click here to view the agenda. The city will also hold a public meeting Wednesday to hear input from the community as a feasibility study is conducted for a proposed water park.
- The Heisman Trophy will be presented during a virtual ceremony Tuesday at 6 p.m. local time on ESPN. The Alabama Crimson Tide has two finalists among the four candidates for college football's highest honor — receiver DeVonta Smith and quarterback Mac Jones.

- DCH Health System reported 167 inpatient coronavirus cases Sunday as hospitalization numbers appear to be on the rise again following the holidays and a slight decline over the last week or so. Tuscaloosa County is soon expected to top 20,000 coronavirus cases — factoring in confirmed and probable cases.
