TUSCALOOSA, AL — An anonymous donor in Pickens County has donated $5,000 as reward money for information about a 2022 burglary.

The 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office and Pickens County Sheriff’s Office says firearms were stolen and security equipment was damaged at a camp house on Vienna Road the night of Oct. 30, 2022.

“Someone knows who is responsible for this,” Pickens County Sheriff Jordan Powell said. “We hope the reward will serve as an incentive for them to do the right thing and come forward.”

In order to claim the reward money, the information must lead to an arrest and conviction.

“This burglary resulted in a number of weapons now in the hands of criminals in our community,” 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Andy Hamlin said. “This is a public safety concern we’re anxious to resolve before anyone is hurt.”
