ACA baseball standout Eric Hines has chosen to stay home and signed to continue his career at the University of Alabama.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — American Christian Academy baseball standout Eric Hines has chosen to stay home and signed this week to continue his career at the University of Alabama.

Hines announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide baseball program earlier this year after leading the Patriots on a playoff run that ended in the state championship series with a loss to eventual 4A champion Corner.

As a junior playing for ACA head coach and former Crimson Tide standout Del Howell, Hines hit .466 with eight home runs and 25 RBIs, which was good enough to earn him First Team All-State honors from the Alabama Sports Writers Association as an outfielder.
A three-sport standout who stands 6-3 and weighs 210, Hines also competed in basketball and football for the Patriots.
