1. The No. 2 seed Crimson Tide is moving on in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament after a 68-55 win over Rick Pitino and the Iona Gaels Saturday night. The Tide will face No. 10 seed Maryland on Monday.

3. Those wishing to take coronavirus tests can do so today at the Christian Community Church of Tuscaloosa, Dre Day reports. The tests will be free from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. (105.1 The Block)
4. A new business is looking to open up shop in Northport. Noah Lueker reports that former Tuscaloosa Police officer Timothy Yzaguirres has announced plans to move from online-only to a brick-and-mortar store for his business — Izzy's Comics and Collectibles. The 1,100-square-foot hybrid comic shop and lounge will be located at 2801 Lurleen B Wallace North, Suite 102. (Tuscaloosa Thread)
5. Here's a story I wanted to do and missed, but I'm glad Britney Bailey could give them some fantastic coverage. Check out the story of the Alabama Steel — a semi-pro football team based out of Tuscaloosa that plays its home games at Central High School. (Crimson White)
Tuscaloosa Patch Notebook
- The Alabama gymnastics team won its 10th SEC Championship Saturday night and second under coach Dana Duckworth, as the Tide remains the only program in the SEC to never finish outside of the top four at the conference meet. The Tide also finished with its highest score on the season — 197.875.
- The Northport Police Department says it has been receiving reports from residents of a foul odor in the area of Huntington Place for the past several weeks. The department asks those with information to call (205) 339-6600.
- Woodstock Nutrition held its grand opening on Wednesday, but had to close early due to the severe weather moving through the area. The new business is located at 20000 Highway 11, Unit 10 in Woodstock.
- University of Alabama students took home a total of 17 awards at the 2021 American Advertising Awards celebration last week. Read more about it here.
- The Tuscaloosa County High Wildcats baseball team managed an 11-8 win over UMS-Wright Prep Saturday, but fell later in the day 7-5 to Saraland.
