Alabama Basketball Grabs Highest AP Poll Ranking Since 2002-03

The ranking is the highest for the Crimson Tide since the 2002-03 season, as Alabama came in second with 23 first place votes.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — With an undefeated record in Southeastern Conference play and wins over two No. 1 opponents, Alabama men's basketball (17-2, 7-0 SEC) on Monday secured the No. 2 spot in Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

The ranking is the highest for the Crimson Tide since the 2002-03 season, as Alabama came in second with 23 first place votes compared to 39 votes for No. 1 Purdue (19-1, 8-1 Big Ten).

The Crimson Tide will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 25 to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs (12-7, 1-6) at 5 p.m. inside Coleman Coliseum.

The game will be broadcast on SEC Network.
