Alabama Cheer Squad Wins UCA All Girl National Championship

The UA cheer team has captured its second consecutive national championship, claiming the UCA Division IA All Girl title

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama cheer team has captured its second consecutive national championship, claiming the UCA Division IA All Girl title at the 2026 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship this weekend.

The Crimson Tide secured the championship with a score of 93.5 in the final round, finishing ahead of South Florida, which posted an 89.6 to place second.

The victory marked Alabama’s eighth national championship overall and its fourth all-time in the Division IA All Girl event, including its first title in the category since 2022.

Alabama also competed in the UCA Division IA Co-Ed event, where the Tide finished fourth overall with a final score of 87.1. This comes a year after winning the national championship in that division.

The Tide squads turned in strong performances across multiple disciplines during the three-day competition.

In the Division IA Game Day Dance Finals, Alabama earned a third-place finish with a score of 90.81.

The Tide then followed that performance with a ninth-place showing in the Division IA Jazz competition after scoring a 90.51.

Alabama capped the weekend with a seventh-place finish in the Division IA Mascot event, receiving a final score of 89.48.
