Alabama Defensive Coordinator Pete Golding Arrested For DUI In Northport
The Northport Police Department arrested the football coach around 1 a.m. Thursday morning for driving under the influence.

NORTHPORT, AL — The Northport Police Department confirmed to Patch on Thursday that Alabama football defensive coordinator Pete Golding was arrested early Thursday morning for driving under the influence.

Northport Police Department Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter told Patch that around 1 a.m., NPD officers arrested Stephen Thomas Golding following a DUI traffic stop. He declined to provide the exact location of the traffic stop, saying only that it was within the Northport city limits.

Golding, 37, was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail following the arrest, with jail records showing his bond to be set at $500.
There was no mugshot available of the football coach in online jail records and it is unclear if he had been released from custody as of the publication of this story.

The Hammond, Louisiana native has been Alabama's full-time defensive coordinator since 2018 and was on the staff in 2020 when the Crimson Tide won the College Football Playoff championship.
