Alabama ONE last month announced a merger with Brewton Mill Federal Credit Union n Escambia County and on Friday revealed an additional merger with McIntosh Chemical Federal Credit Union in Washington County.

Alabama ONE says the merger was approved by the membership of McIntosh Chemical Federal Credit Union and will be made effective on Oct. 1.
The financial institution went on to say the merger will further extend its footprint into south Alabama.

"We are very excited to welcome McIntosh Chemical Federal Credit Union into the Alabama ONE family," Alabama ONE CEO Bill Wells said. "Alabama ONE believes in a community-first approach and is excited to bring the best products and services to the McIntosh area. This merger aligns with our mission to provide all of our Members greater access to comprehensive financial services, especially to those in rural Alabama communities.”
Alabama ONE explained that the relationship was pursued in an effort to improve its portfolio of services for the members of McIntosh Chemical Federal Credit Union.
