Alabama ONE Honors Northridge High Offensive Duo

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama ONE on Tuesday announced that Northridge High football standouts Rowdy Christensen and Nick Sherman have been honored as the west Alabama financial institutions Athletes of the Week.

The quarterback and wide receiver were nominated by head coach Ryan Lolley and were presented the award by Alabama ONE Team Members Mary Kathryn Baker and Thomas Powe.

Christensen, a junior quarterback, went 25-for-32 through the air for 414 yards and four passing touchdowns in a 34-15 win over Bessemer City on Sept. 15.

Making a huge contribution in the passing game was Sherman, a senior wide receiver, who snagged eight catches for 208 Yards and scores.

Northridge (1-3) will return to action on Friday at home against local 4A foe American Christian Academy (3-2).
