Alabama ONE Honors Tuscaloosa Academy QB Preston Lancaster

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama ONE Credit Union on Tuesday announced that Tuscaloosa Academy quarterback Preston Lancaster has been named its Athlete of the Week.

Lancaster was nominated by TA Athletic Director Byron Abston and head football coach Josh Wright for his performance in Tuscaloosa Academy's 21-14 win over Sulligent on Oct. 20.

In the winning effort, Lancaster went 18-for-28 for 308 and three touchdowns.

“He is a special kid on and off the field,” Wright said of his signal-caller.

Tuscaloosa Academy (7-2) will close out the 2023 regular season at home against Red Bay (5-4) on Friday, Nov. 3.
