Alabama's Brandon Miller Earns SEC Freshman Of The Week For Third Time

​ Alabama freshman forward Brandon Miller has been named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama men's basketball freshman forward Brandon Miller has been named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

Miller's latest accolade comes after No. 7 Alabama (11-2, 1-0 SEC) topped Mississippi State to open conference play. In the road win, Miller scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, along with knocking down a game-high five three-pointers.

UA Athletics points out that Miller ranks No. 1 in the SEC in points per game with 19.2 and No. 34 in the nation. He also holds the distinction of being the only freshman in the country that has scored 250 points and record 115 rebounds this season.

Miller and the Crimson Tide are set to take on the Ole Miss Rebels Tuesday in Alabama's SEC home opener.

Tipoff for Tuesday's game at Coleman Coliseum is set for 8 p.m., with SEC Network carrying the television broadcast.
