Alabama's Vandagriff Named NCAA Softball Championship Elite Scholar-Athlete

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Crimson Tide softball standout Audrey Vandagriff was recognized Tuesday night as the recipient of the Elite Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2026 NCAA Division I Softball Championship.

The award was presented during the Women’s College World Series banquet in Oklahoma City.

The award is given annually to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average among competitors at each NCAA championship finals site.
The sophomore outfielder carries a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in sport management.

Vandagriff is also a Dean’s List honoree and a three-time President’s List selection.
She becomes just the second Alabama softball player to earn the honor, following former Crimson Tide player Kaylee Tow, who won the award during the 2019 season.
