ALDOT Worker Injured In Hale County Crash
An ALDOT worker was injured Wednesday while on the job in Hale County.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) worker was injured Wednesday while on the job in Hale County.

ALDOT said the employee was operating a tractor mower along Alabama Highway 69 north of Greensboro when the mower was struck by a tractor-trailer.

The injured worker was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
“Our employees work hard every day to maintain our roadways, often in close proximity to traffic,” ALDOT West Central Region Engineer Wallace McAdory III said. “We’re thankful our employee is expected to recover, and we encourage all motorists to use extra caution when approaching maintenance crews.”

ALDOT also reminded drivers to stay alert near roadside work activities and to move over or slow down when approaching workers and equipment.
