The concert was scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, at the downtown Tuscaloosa venue, with Larkin Poe also on the lineup and a DJ set by Yola.
The amphitheater said the decision was made with the safety of concertgoers, performers and employees in mind.
The cancellation comes as Hurricane Isaias approaches the northern Gulf Coast, with forecasters warning of heavy rainfall, gusty winds and the potential for isolated tornadoes across central Alabama beginning Friday night.
Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded to the original method of payment, with no additional action required.
Meanwhile, those who purchased tickets directly from the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater box office must request their refunds in person during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The venue did not announce plans to reschedule the concert.
