An overlooked talent who rapidly developed into an MLB All-Star, Anderson hit .360 with four home runs, 37 runs batted in, and 30 stolen bases in 30 attempts during his freshman season at ECCC in 2012.

Anderson was also named the NJCAA Male Athlete of the Year in 2013.

He would go on to be drafted by the White Sox with the 17th overall selection in 2013 made his big league debut on June 10, 2016 against the Kansas City Royals.

During his first full season in the major leagues in 2017, Anderson hit .257 with 17 home runs, before returning the next year to become the first shortstop in White Sox history to record 20-plus home runs and 20-plus stolen bases in a season.

Anderson also made his first Major League All-Star Game during the 2021 season, but perhaps his biggest moment came on Aug. 12, 2021, when he hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th inning to help the White Sox beat the New York Yankees 9–8 in the inaugural Field of Dreams Game in Iowa.

Anderson and his wife, Bria, live in Chicago and have two daughters: Peyton and Paxton.
