TUSCALOOSA, AL — A woman was injured in a Wednesday night shooting on Old Marion Road following an argument that escalated into an exchange of gunfire.

Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Marty Sellers told local media the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of Old Marion Road, where a man and woman became involved in a dispute.

He said both individuals were armed and shots were fired during the altercation.

The woman was struck during the exchange and sustained injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
