"To be entrusted to help preserve the rich legacy that is housed here is such an honor," Arnold told Patch on Thursday. "I love the moments when I witness our players come in with their kids or grandkids and I get to see them share their memories with the next generation."

Arnold has worked at the Bryant Museum for the last 19 years, most recently serving as Business Operations Manager. She was named Interim Director earlier this year, following Gaddy's retirement after more than three decades.

"Though I never personally met Coach Bryant, I’ve been very fortunate to hear stories from those that played with him, coached with him, or were coached by him," she explained. The personal stories really give a level of insight into who Coach Bryant was as a person, to hear what he was like behind the public persona. I’ve had so many of our players and fans reach out to me to offer their support and congratulations on this new appointment. I hope that I am able to truly honor the legacy and share the wonderful traditions of The University of Alabama with our fans for years to come."
