Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting At Tuscaloosa Apartment Complex

An arrest has been made in a fatal shooting Saturday morning at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex that left one man dead.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — An arrest has been made in a fatal shooting Saturday morning that left one man dead at Sun Valley apartments in the 5000 block of 36th Avenue East.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and identified as 37-year-old Terrence Knott Jr.

Kennedy then told local media Saturday night that Dondre Joseph, 28, has been arrested on one count of murder after the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded at noon on the initial shooting call.

He is currently being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.

Kennedy said investigators found that Joseph had confronted Knott after he had been in a domestic altercation with a family member of Joseph's, which is believed to have led to the fatal shooting.
