Kentuck says an artist talk by O’Kelley is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

O’Kelley is originally from Iowa and moved to Tuscaloosa in 1951 when her husband accepted a teaching position at The University of Alabama.

Her artistic journey then began in 1983 when she started creating screen-printed posters featuring quilt designs for the Kentuck Festival of the Arts.

Kentuck’s executive director in 1994 then encouraged O'Kelley to craft a physical quilt, leading to a series of fabric creations that represent the festival’s history.
