Arts Council Classic Film Series To Conclude With Trivia, Costume Contest

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa’s Bama Art House “Nostalgic Fall Blockbuster” Film Series is set to wrap up during the spooky season with a showing of "Bram's Stoker's Dracula" next week.

The Bama Theatre will screen the movie on Tuesday, Oct. 24, with a slate of pre-show events and prizes.

Doors and the Bama Bar will open at 6 p.m., with a signature drink — “The Vampire’s Kiss” — a libation topped with vampire teeth.

What's more, trivia with Soapy Jones will kick off at 6:30 p.m., providing swag bags including prize items such as a VIP concession ticket, a Bama Theatre T-shirt and other merchandise.

Trivia will be followed by an adult costume contest beginning at 7 p.m., with the first-place winner awarded one free night at The Alamite and a $100 food credit to Forté.

Second Place in the costume contest will receive a $100 gift card to Central Mesa, while third place will receive a $50 gift card to Avenue Pub.

Everyone in costume will receive a discounted drink ticket to Nocturnal Tavern for participating.

Admission for the event is price at $10 for general, $9 for students and seniors and $8 for Arts Council members.

Season pass punch card tickets are $70, good for any ten films in any series. All tickets are for sale at the Box Office prior to each film.
