Authorities Confirm Missing Berry Woman Found Dead

Authorities have confirmed that the body of a Berry woman has been found after she was last seen on Friday and reported missing.

FAYETTE, AL — Authorities have confirmed that the body of a Berry woman has been found after she was last seen on Friday and reported missing.

As Patch previously reported, Brandalyn L. Terry, 40 — who also went by Brandy — was last seen in the town of Berry in Fayette County and had not returned home or been heard from since, which prompted a missing persons filing Monday with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

"It is with great sadness that we report she was found deceased," the Fayette County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time."

Investigators did not provide additional details regarding the circumstances of Terry's death or where her body was located.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office also thanked other agencies that assisted in the search, including the Jasper Police Department, the Walker County Sheriff's Office and the University of Alabama Joint Electronic Crimes Task Force.
