Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a Hale County woman and her three young children

GREENSBORO, AL — Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a Hale County woman and her three young children who have been missing for more than two weeks.

The Hale County Sheriff's Office on Friday issued an active Missing and Endangered Person Alert for 31-year-old Cayla Louise Hummel, who investigators say is believed to be living with a condition that may impair her judgment.

The alert said Hummel was last seen June 22 in the area of Millwood Road in Greensboro.

Authorities believe she is traveling with her three children: Sirius Richardson, 6; Abram Richardson, 4; and Luna Richardson, 20 months.

The sheriff's office said it is seeking the public's assistance in locating Hummel and the children but did not release additional details about the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.

Hummel is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs approximately 220 pounds and is 31 years old.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has also issued an Emergency Missing Child Alert for the case.

Those with information regarding the whereabouts of Hummel or the three children is asked to contact the Hale County Sheriff's Office at (334) 624-3081 or call 911 immediately.
