Big Daddy's Mediterranean Grill​ Closes After More Than A Decade

The restaurant made the announcement via Facebook on Friday, dealing another blow to the Tuscaloosa culinary scene.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A longtime culinary favorite in Tuscaloosa has closed its doors for good.

Big Daddy's Mediterranean Grill made the announcement Friday via Facebook, saying the restaurant at 514 Greensboro Avenue is now permanently closed. The establishment was popular among college students and locals, alike, offering hoagies, hotdogs, peta wraps and sandwiches.

It is unclear what prompted the sudden closure and Patch has reached out to Big Daddy's for the opportunity to comment.

In the announcement, the eatery said: "Thank you all for the love and support you’ve showed us for over a decade. We will miss seeing all of your faces but thank you for giving us all these amazing memories!!!"
