TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says a Birmingham woman was killed Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Sylvan Loop Road in Tuscaloosa County.

ALEA said in a press release Monday night that the crash occurred at 12:29 p.m. when a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 31-year-old Jamarria E. Montgomery left the roadway and struck a tree.

Montgomery was reportedly transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
