Board Games Collected For Pickens County First Graders Ahead Of Holidays
Donations of board games will be accepted at locations across the Pickens County area until Nov. 18.
CARROLLTON, AL — District Attorney Andy Hamlin's Office has partnered with the Helping Families Initiative (HFI) to collect board games as a gift for every first grade student in Pickens County for the holidays.

Hamlin's office said the effort, dubbed the Family Family Board Game Drive, will be geared toward ages 3-10. He pointed out that games promote family time that ultimately benefits children’s brain development and teaches life lessons.

Hamlin then provided the following examples of age-appropriate games being collected as the holidays approach: Sorry, Candy Land, Connect 4, Guess Who?, Hi-Ho! Cherry-Oh, Yeti In My Spaghetti, Chutes and Ladders and Trouble.
An account has been set up at West Alabama Bank to accept monetary donations to purchase
games, as well.

- The District Attorney’s Office (20 Phoenix Avenue in Carrollton)
- West Alabama Bank
- Aliceville City Hall
- Carrollton City Hall
- Gordo City Hall
- Reform City Hall
- Pickensville City Hall
