Boys & Girls Clubs Of West Alabama Announces Board Moves

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama on Thursday announced its new Board of Directors chair and chair-elect for 2023-24.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama on Thursday announced its new Board of Directors chair and chair-elect for 2023-24.

The nonprofit says Audra Browder will continue in her second year as chair, while Chris Shinstock will serve as chair-elect.

"We have tremendous Board support for our Clubs, and the leadership Audra and Chris will provide ensures we continue our mission to change the lives of children and teens in West Alabama," Executive Director Kim Turner said.

Browder — a Ralph native and University of Alabama graduate — is employed at Bobby Park Truck and Equipment and is currently in her ninth year on the board, where she also serves on the Executive, Safety and Resource Development committees.

Conversely, Shinstock is in his 13th year on the Board of Directors, where he also serves on the Budget and Program committees.

Shinstock is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and has worked his entire career with Alabama Power Co. At present, he is the manager of sales/marketing in Western Division, with responsibilities for the large commercial, and industrial markets.
