Brookwood Woman Killed, Two Injured In Crash On Highway 69 North
ALEA says A Brookwood woman was killed and two people injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 69.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says A Brookwood woman was killed and two people injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 69 north of Tuscaloosa.

ALEA reported Wednesday that Haley G. Lancaster, 43, died after the 2013 Hyundai Sonata she was driving collided head-on with a 2023 Ford Expedition at about 8:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Troopers said Lancaster was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Expedition, a Northport resident, was injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment, in addition to a 12-year-old passenger in the Expedition who was also was also injured and taken to a local hospital.
The crash occurred on Alabama 69 near the 155 mile marker, about seven miles north of Tuscaloosa in Tuscaloosa County.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
