Tuscaloosa Scout Troop Holding Fundraiser For Ukrainian Refugees
The Boy Scouts of America Troop 316 will host a car wash and lunch on Sunday to raise money for refugees from Russia's war on Ukraine.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Boy Scouts of America Troop 316 will offer car washes and lunch on Sunday to raise money for those who have fled war-torn Ukraine.

The fundraiser will take place at Forest Lake United Methodist Church on April 3 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with all proceeds going to relief for child refugees of Russia's war on Ukraine. The bloody invasion by Russia has resulted in a humanitarian crisis the likes of which has not seen since World War II, displacing as many as 4 million people by some estimates.

And it was the obvious needs of those seeking refuge that prompted BSA Troop 316 to spring into action to do their part.
Participants will not even be asked to get out of their vehicles, as the Troop will give drive-thru car washes and BBQ sandwich plates for $20 in total. Plates include: A sandwich, sauce, chips, a pickle and dessert.
