A Buhl man has been accused of sexually-assaulting a juvenile, following an incident that occurred two weeks ago.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Buhl man has been jailed and stands accused of sexual assault of a juvenile in late March.

According to Tuscaloosa County Jail records, 29-year-old Jairo Pedro is charged with one count of first-degree rape and another count of first-degree sodomy.

In a deposition obtained by Tuscaloosa Patch, the juvenile victim provided details of the abuse to investigators, saying she had been reluctant to come forward.
Pedro informed investigators that he had been drinking alcohol at the time of the incident in question, but insisted upon his innocence.

He has been in the Tuscaloosa County Jail since April 7, with his total bond set at $100,000.
Pedro has a preliminary court hearing set for May 30.
