To open our fall author series, join us for a cinematic journey with Andrew Farkas and his latest novel, Movies Are Fine for a Bright Boy Like You. Farkas will be taking the stage on August 7 at 5:30pm in the Brick House and accompanied by a local great, Michael Martone. 

In the short fiction collection Movies Are Fine for a Bright Boy Like You, Andrew Farkas explores the unseen lives of stock characters, examines cinematic conventions, deconstructs film genres, while, along the way, lovingly making fun of almost everything having to do with movies. So get ready to yuck it up with the rest of the peanut gallery as Farkas celebrates the joyfully, wondrously synthetic history of the movies.
