Canadian Manufacturer To Add 180 Jobs With New Tuscaloosa Hub
Epsilon Industries has selected Tuscaloosa as the next location for its new off-site construction system manufacturer.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA) on Thursday announced that Epsilon Industries has selected Tuscaloosa as the next location for its new off-site construction system manufacturer.

TCEDA says the company plans to invest around $3 million in the new manufacturing facility in the Tuscaloosa County Airport Industrial Park, which will support the delivery of pre-fabricated modular utility systems in an integrated factory environment.

Epsilon Industries will be located next to an existing building on Industrial Park Drive, with production scheduled to start in the beginning of May. It is expected to created 80 new jobs.
“We are excited to be a part of the Tuscaloosa community,” Epsilon Industries President Chris Wiederick said. “We will be hosting many of our top clientele at our facility, and we feel
that Tuscaloosa offers a convenient location with direct access to the airport, as well as a
welcoming and entertaining environment.”

He went on to explain that the new Tuscaloosa location will provide access to a strong labor pool from Tuscaloosa and its surrounding counties.
As for hiring, the company will be looking to fill positions including boilermakers, pipefitters, pipe welders, structural welders, electricians, mechanical and electrical engineers, and general laborers.
TCEDA Chairman Norman Crow said the company's decision to locate its newest facility to Tuscaloosa highlights all that the community has to offer new and expanding businesses, including a supportive business environment and strong workforce.
Crow then told Patch that Epsilon expects to hire at least 80 employees by the end of 2023, before aiming to add up to 180 jobs to the local economy.
Additionally, West Alabama Works will host a job fair for Epsilon on March 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Northport Civic Center.

trade positions associated with this highly specialized field will create new career
opportunities for our citizens and complement our existing workforce competencies, which
