“She was a beautiful and sweet soul who got took away from us by this evil monster," Brandy Hollis said.
The vigil announcement follows authorities upgrading the charge against the man accused in Hollis’ death after her family located her body in a trash bag on the side of the interstate in Greene County a little more than a week after she was reported missing.

As Patch previously reported, investigators initially charged 44-year-old Randall Dejourney with abuse of a corpse when her body was first discovered. However, he was charged with murder earlier this week after preliminary autopsy results showed Hollis' cause of death to be asphyxiation.
Dejourney remains in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
A GoFundMe campaign is also active to help Hollis’ family cover funeral expenses and other related costs in the wake of her death.
As of the publication of this story, the GoFundMe had raised $2,133 toward its goal of $2,600.
