TUSCALOOSA, AL — Up-and-coming Norwegian golf product Celine Borge shot 9-under in the final round of play on Sunday to claim the top spot in the inaugural Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic Golf Tournament held at Ol' Colony Golf Complex over the weekend.

The 24-year-old Epson Tour talent edged out Hyo Joon Jang (-14), Linnea Strom (-13) and Baily Tardy (-12) in a close battle on the final day to claim the top spot.

During the 2021 campaign, Borge competed in 20 events and made 14 cuts on her way to earning $36,782 on the year. She also recorded two top-10 finishes, including finishing third at the Island Resort Championship.
The Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic served as an LPGA qualifying event for the Epson Tour and represents the first professional golf tournament held in Tuscaloosa.

The 54-hole tournament featured 120 golfers from nearly 30 countries.
