Chamber Of Commerce Of West Alabama Announces Staff Changes, Promotions

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama on Tuesday announced several promotions and title changes, along with one new addition as Chamber President & CEO Jim Page prepares to start a new job next month.

“I am proud to make these well-earned promotions and title changes for members of the chamber’s professional staff, as well as formally welcome Marlee to the team,” Page said. “As the chamber embarks on a transition process due to my impending departure, these changes will help ensure continuity of leadership and accountability among the staff in the daily operations of the organization. Part of the peace of mind I have in stepping away from the role of president and CEO is knowing what an incredibly talented and dedicated group of professionals we have in place at the chamber.”

Page's replacement has yet to be hired by the Chamber Board of Directors.

Here's a look at the changes, as announced by the Chamber:

Brittani Colburn

Brittani Colburn has been promoted to Deputy Executive Director of West AlabamaWorks! She will continue to support staff and volunteer leadership, as well as oversee all internal operations of the workforce development initiatives of the chamber and West AlabamaWorks!

Tracy Crumpton

Tracy Crumpton has been promoted to Senior Director of Finance and Administration. She will continue to manage the financial and human resources functions of the chamber, West AlabamaWorks!, and all related entities.

Alicia Gregory

Alicia Gregory has been promoted to Senior Director of Programs and Operations. She will continue to manage chamber programming and events, as well as oversee all communications, marketing, and membership development efforts.

Tanya Winstead

Tanya Winstead’s title has changed to Director of Membership and Investor Relations. She will continue to manage all membership recruitment and resource development efforts, as well as serve as the primary staff liaison for the investors of the chamber’s ALL IN strategic plan and capital campaign.

Barkley Garrett

Barkley Garrett’s title will change to Vice President of Economic and Community Development. This reflects the additional community development and quality of life initiatives he manages as part of the chamber’s ALL IN strategic plan.

Marlee Williams

Marlee Williams recently joined the chamber staff as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO. She provides administrative support to the chamber’s senior staff and volunteer leadership, serves as the primary staff liaison for the chamber’s board of directors, and coordinates daily operations of the chamber’s West Alabama Workforce and Community Development Center.
